    Ślężański Youth Race; 19.06.2019 (Wednesday before God's Body), at 18.00 Every year from 2003 to 2015 can become a participant of the race Organizer; Klub Biegacza Sobótka, Co-organizer; ŚOKSiR Sobótka Race type: street, youth Number of editions: 6 Record attendance: 528 people (2018) Distance: 150 m, 500 m, 1000 m, 1500 m The races are played on the Sącz Market Square. Participants are pre-school and school youth. Children aged four and older may run in our race. At the beginning of the event, the youngest are competing who compete over a distance of 150 m. School youth runs on a 500 m loop, which competitors, depending on their age, overcome one, two or three times. Girls and boys from each year are classified separately. This is one of the few youth runs in Poland, where electronic time measurement is used, just like in seniors' competitions. The rich starter packets and the number of award-winning children are impressive for a youth run. This is a course invented and organized by the Sobótka Racer Club. The first run took place at the premises of the Municipal School in Sobótka. From the second edition takes place in the Market Square in Sobótka. The date of mid-June midday mid-week does not interfere with weekend plans of families, in the school the grades are already issued. The main prize is the personally handed Cup of the Mayor of the City and Commune of Sobótka for the largest school in relation to all students of this school.
