Monument

Information

  • Address: Rynek, 55-080 Kąty Wrocławskie
Many of the historic apartment buildings in Kąty Wrocławskie were damaged during the war and some of them were even destroyed. Even to this day, Kąty has maintained the medieval urban planning characteristic of a small ducal or episcopal town, namely, a centrally located market square and a pair of parallel streets that lead to the town gates on the Wrocław-Świdnica route. Eight streets branch off from the rectangular market square, of which two main streets form longer frontages. The middle of the market square consist of two structures, a classical former Evangelical church and a Neo-Romanesque town hall with a Renaissance tower, which add a 19th century feel to the square. The late-Gothic building of the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul dominates the skyline of the city.
