The Moravian Brethren Memorial Chamber
We invite you to visit - the first in Poland - the Moravian Brethren Memorial Chamber, which opened on 31 January 2020 at 4 Piastów Śląskich Square. The Chamber is located in the former complex of the House of the Brethren, built in 1746 on the grounds of the Gnadenfrei estate. The permanent exhibition presents, among others: graphics, photographs and memorabilia related to the local Herrnhut Community, which in 1743, together with the Gnadenfrei settlement, was established in the area of Piława Górna.
In the chamber, there are also recently found fragments of sculptures from the 1870 neo-gothic cemetery gate made by the Thust company from Piława and documents of Karl Friedrich II, Count von Pfeil, who donated the entire sum to rebuild the Friars' House after the fire in 1792.
