The tower stands on the hill Jańska Góra (253 m). It was built here in 1869 my a retired army Majo, the owner of the village of Sokolniki and Bismarck's admirer, Friedrich Schröter. It was the first such initiative in Germany of the time. Its construction involved local stone - granite, sandstone and serpentine - and brick. The property was built in neo-Gothic style. The tower is about 23 meters high with a diameter of 4 at its base. In the basement, there was Bismarck's Memorial Chamber. Before World War II, the tower was opened to the public on weekends. There was a catering business and an entertainment offer.
