The finely restored palace was erected in the 19th century, combining neo-Renaissance and Classical styles. It was built by Hans Bernhard von Schweinitz. Until the end of WWII it belonged to the von Moltke family. Among its owners, was Hans Adolf von Moltke, a German diplomat known for his involvement in improving the relations between the Third Reich and Poland. His grave can be found in the nearby Borów cemetery.
